Facebook friends

I have been meaning to do a post on this for a while now.
Since I opened an account on hyves and facebook I met some interesting people.
One of them is Glen Marijnissen:
"I want to control trivial things like a sheet of paper. To form."
His hero is Alfred Jodokus Kwak... and Books are for smartasses!

...but otherwise he's ok.

Looking at his profile I found a painting I really liked, so I asked him if we could do a swap...and so we did. He asked his ma to look in the shed and he drove all the way from Tilburg to deliver it personally. In return he received a "fuelin 'around" necklace, which he gave to his ma.

Now I'm the proud owner of an original "Glen Marijnissen"

Pretty cool, isn't it?!
The man holding the Van Gogh painting asks:
"eej, Sjuul, Can you do something with that picture of that schizophrenic nutcase from Zundert?"

If you want to see more of Glen: Go and see "Faces of Life"

"Faces of Life is a project of Arts Society Tegendraads.
Located in the Johan de Wittstraat 166 in Dordrecht.

Three participating artists:
Karin Starmans
Adrienne Kusters
Glen Marijnissen.

They use the space with their art with the theme being the life stages.

This can be anything and become anything. The space is alive and continuously altered so that the visitor is continually surprised."

Yesterday I spend my day on the Grand Easter Monday brocante-market in Verviers in Belgium. The entire city was full of 600 professional and amateur brocante dealers over a distance of 4km! I enjoyed rummaging through all the wonderful treasures!

~Danny Danker

the night takes pity on me

and after stillness from below
the hands of the Sun
I'll let him know
as so did he

but do you also know the dawn
he asked, waving languidly some blue photons
and expected resistance away
before the arrival of ruby-red hours

the shedded silence the beginning
of yet another light on theory
and with a beat and a blink back to square one
this prevents dispersion

for also the night loves the light
and even more the breakthrough

~Danny Danker

Inspired by the wondrous words of Danny Danker
and the soothing sounds of Anne van Schothorst
I made this bracelet.

I was so glad to find that Anne bought it.

Thank you Danny and Anne!
