Welcome!

Welcome to my blog!

I took the title of this blog from the title of an interview made for trendi.com
Here it is:

Wisdom and Wisecracks from Dindi Jewelry
A silver tambourine charm is as innocent as can be. A silver tambourine charm labelled "Play me against your warm thigh" has a whole 'nother meaning. "Save the Whales" we've heard before. "Save the Jackalope" has a quirky edge we love. Who's the designer behind these clever doo-dads? Erna Price, a woman whose collecting, hoarding, and accumulating habit means reworking, restringing, and revamping in the long run. She's also into wabi-sabi. No, it's not something you put on your California rolls. It's a Buddhist philosophy about accepting imperfection. It's healthy, beautiful, and mentally stimulating. Plus, it's cheaper than Botox and won't turn you into a bat face. Read our mini-interview to get deep in seconds.

Trendi: How long have you been collecting random bits and baubles for your jewelry?
Erna Price: I've been collecting broken chains and bracelets, little charms, beads and other knick-knacks for over 2 decades now. I store them in beautiful old boxes, that I also collect, which are displayed all over the house.

Trendi: Could you give us a few words on wabi-sabi?
Erna: For me wabi-sabi is to see beauty in things, which are simple, imperfect, modest, old and weathered. To celebrate cracks and crevices and all the other marks that time, weather, and loving use leave behind.

Trendi: Do you wear a thoughtful phrase yourself? Or maybe different ones every day?
Erna: I wear the same bangles every day. One says: "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" And the other one: "Neglect not the gift that is in thee."
-------------------------------------------

So I´ll TRY and come up to the expectations and fill my blog with all my wit and wisdom......or.....more likely, just with whatever takes my fancy.
